Alkimos Beach is the main beach of the newly developed suburb of Alkimos, approx. 42 km from the city. Located in the upper northern most reaches of Perth's northern suburbs, this region has seen some unprecedented development in the last few years with new suburbs popping up all along the coastal area. Once only vast sand dunes dominated this area with not a sole in sight, it is now part of the greater suburban sprawl of Perth's coastal region.  

An impressive beach which stretches for kilometres, this beach still gives you the feeling you are miles from civilisation and exposed to the elements, with strong winds and coastal currents battering this coastal area. It's a wonderful place to explore.
