Beautiful Busselton lies on the Western coast of Australia approx. 225km south of Perth which is just over a 2 hr drive. Busselton Jetty is one of the most recognisable icons in WA stretching an impressive 1.8km out to sea and is the longest wooden structure in the Southern Hemisphere. A rail line stretches the length of the jetty and takes passengers to the very end where you can enjoy the delights of the underwater observatory and magnificent views of Geographe Bay.
Busselton foreshore has recently been upgraded and features a wonderful kids adventure playground, restaurants, cafes, parks, walking trails and pristine white sandy beaches which in the summer months feature huge inflatables.
This region is rich in marine life and it is not unusual to see migrating humpback making their way up the coast to their breeding grounds. Dolphins and stingrays are a common sight.
This photograph was taken in the height of the summer and looks south towards Geographe Bay. The magnificent colours of the water fringed by white sandy beaches and green open spaces of the City of Busselton create a magnificent vista, highlighting the true natural beauty of the region.
